When I have had enough of wrangling tutu net through my sewing machine, I take a break to design and create dance costumes which are RTW - ready to wear for a particular size age range. I can add as many rhinestones and decoration as I like without being frowned upon by the tutu police! (YES they do exist. They believe in structured tutus and mutter behind closed doors), I have been fully trained to create structured ballet tutus to a professional standard. But I have also embraced the change as new fabrics came on line and applied the skills to creating stretch ballet tutus. I have been a dance mum and know how expensive it is! I would never recommend an expensive structured ballet tutu when a stretch tutu would be more age and skills appropriate.
Anyway, this two piece dance costume is suitable for a lyrical song and dance or tap. This was a pattern hack to gauge the size and fit of a requested custom costume. RTW costumes are always cheaper then custom as they are my designs, not specifically designed for your child and their measurements.
This one has a fuchsia lace overlay and lace half skirt. trimmed with delicate pink applique and rhinestone. It has a feature back and a matching head piece.

After years of creating and maintaining my own websites, I am now at an age where I don't give a damn.
I have created them, had them hacked, lost everything, recreated including e-commerce stores.
I have come to realise that the hosting companies offer you the 2 or 3 years deals to get the website off the ground and showing in all the search engines. Then they start reporting 'glitches' of too much traffic or hacking attempts. Then the triple the price of hosting so that its then not economically viable for a small home run business.
I even paid a fortune for my last Do Tutu site and had it 'professionally' designed. Which made a change from my home grown self taught methods.
However, the costs of supporting the site became prohibited and honestly, I didn't get any more business from it. What I did get was inappropriate requests from all over the world, several hacking attempts and my designs being ripped off and used on Chinese sites.
So as all my labels (yes I know, I over ordered!) still have a web address. I thought I would use my blogger for a single page contact.
It may grow, but don't expect me to be on here baring my soul. After all, I am tied to my sewing machine and up to the armpits in tulle!
